Laptop freezing and hanging out of nowhere

I have a dell laptop, pretty low end but It still satisfied me, but one day I wake up and laptop freezes every 30 seconds for 1-2 minutes. It was unusable so I did a reset. Thought it would fix it but no. Then I hard wiped everything, still it got even intense. Btw it was running pretty smooth before. I didn't download anything sketchy, even if it is a virus it should be gone after resetting 2 times right? So I am confused right now, what could be an issue here? Laptop - Inspiron 1470 Notebook Computer.

Well, I tried restoring from system point thing but it was pointless because I didn't know about this before and I don't have any. Now chrome is not responding to the point its unusable.

    Hi,
is there mini dump file under this path c:\Windows\Mindumps? if yes share them.

Does your system freez for a few second or forever and you need to hard restar it?

what happened before you system starts to freez? did you apply any Windows 10 update, did you installed a new application, a new hardwar?

I think I know the issue now. Disk usage is going to 100% so it freezes. It unfreezes whenever it comes down. I didn't do any updates or install a new software, before it started to freeze it was doing well nothing wrong with it at all. Sorry I can't share mindumps file rn Im not at home, will do whenever I get access to my laptop tho. Thanks for your time ~💖

You may have files from before a update and / or a lot of trash.
Run disk cleanup (%windir%\system32\cleanmgr.exe) or CCleaner.

Windows needs around 10 to 15 G to manage virtual memory and to store temporary files.
How much free space you have?
Did you clean the disk as suggested above?

I have around 72gb free space on C drive and more than that on D drive. Yeah I cleaned the disk but the issue stayed. Thanks for your time.

You should install one more memory stick to have at least (2+2)G of memory.
Download and run hwinfo. Its a portable, don't need to install. Extract and run.
On the memory tab you will find all the memory specs. Buy another Exactly the same brand, speed and timings.

Another improvement would be to replace the HDD with a SSD. You can buy a small size SSD and replace the ODD with a HDD caddy. That is what I did on my laptop. It is a way to have the speed of a SSD and the size of a HDD at low cost
