We have just purchased a brand new Mpg z490 gaming carbon wifi motherboard and installed Windows 10.
We have 2 ssd hard drives and 3 normal hard drives attached.
Drivers and bios is upto date.
When we select restart or shut down the pc takes forever to restart or shut down.
Is there a way we can fix this please.

Hi, there are numerous reports of slow startup with build 2004. (I'll assume you have that for now).
About how long does a cold boot to lock screen take?

Or, as this is a new installation, you might, for now, wish to use build 1909, available via the appropriate tutorial which suggests using the Heidoc iso downloader to get the iso file. You then need to create a bootable disk (e.g. using instructions as per the tutorial to create a bootable disk to install Win 10). However end of service life is May '21.

I would suggest trying to disable "fast startup" to see if it resolves the issue. You can restore it if it doesn't help.

Just to make sure, you have Windows 10 installed on one of the SSDs?
I've had Windows 10 installed on a HDD way back when, back in the day. Windows 10 started up soooo slowly on a HDD. But when I put it on the SSD, it sped up a lot more.

Enable or Disable Hibernate in Windows 10 You can try disabling hibernation if it's enabled.
Type in perfmon /report in the Windows Search box and hit enter. The Performance Manager will automatically run a report and diagnose issues that are impacting your PC. Luckily for you, it will also recommend solutions for each problem found.
With this batch script Windows OS can close programs that is not responding during shutdown.
