    True Or False

Hi Folks, from my short experience using Windows 10, it looks to me that my PC is changing my settings after a restart.
Example one, everytime I get rid of the shadows under the desktop icons, they reappear when I restart my laptop.
There are other items but will try this one to begin with.

I see such customizations change when Upgrading from one Version to another such as from 1803 to 1809 to 1903 to 1909 to 2004. A lot of things seem to change or be removed to set the computer to a default situation. Haven't seen as much with the Build updates to the Version.

You're talking about drop shadows. I have not had to mess with them since Vista days. I'm amazed you have them or have to do anything to get rid of them.
Can you provide a screen capture please?

    How are you removing it?

Mine looks like this. Note I have shadows turned off on mouse pointer, windows and icon labels (3 places). Registry is set to 0. I didn't make the registry change, it's just there, I presume from turning it off in one of the three.

It seems to have cleared/fixed itself. From switch on today + 2 restarts to uninstall a program.

    Now back to this.
