Computer started running excruciatingly slow all the sudden.

My computer all the sudden started working really slowly for even the smallest of tasks.
literally anything I do now is excruciatingly slow. Opening chrome, opening file explorer, typing, even drawing the selection boxes on the desktop. The mouse moves smooth though still.

windows version: 1909 os build 18363.1016

I havent updated anything recently or installed anything recently.

I did some trouble shooting myself but all of it passed:
    windows memory test
    intels cpu test
msi afterburner on my video card.

I did this from posting over in bsod:
    resources.rar

Hi, have you just had an update of any sort? Check your Update History, including Drivers at the bottom.

Please post appropriate screenshots of your task manager illustrating this thus:

(processes, clock speed, disk usage, disk transfer rate...)

How much free space do you have on C: ?

If you boot to Safe Mode, is there is a change in responsiveness?

Not that I know of. Some stuff installed as part of some troubleshooting I did.

Thank you very much for your reply.

Task manager: you look to see what shows as being significant.

    E.g. high resource usage.

Post a screenshot of each of your Process and Performance tabs, showing the information I mentioned:
(processes, clock speed, disk usage, disk transfer rate...)

You can see your task manager- please choose accordingly, organising any column of interest high to low by clicking on the appropriate column header.

    I asked you to
Check your Update History, including Drivers at the bottom.

Can't see anything obvious from the task manager screenshots.. except there are many programs loaded, and some lowish GPU use.

Please advise responsiveness in Safe Mode.

    Thanks.

It seems to me that it is still sluggish in safemode. It takes about 1-2 seconds for me to even open a file explorer window and I get to watch it load each part individually.

first the window border loads, then the search bar and a rectangle in the middle (where the files show) then they all pop up at once, then it flashes white for a just a hair of a moment, then i can finally interact with it.

Out of curiosity, what does this reveal?
Get Windows Experience Index (WEI) Score in Windows 10

Which of your PCs is slow?

Begins to suggest something related to graphics, but you see the same slowness even in Safe Mode.

And while plugged into the onboard as well. Because thats one of the things I tried before posting here.

Lastly if it is of interest as part of a troubleshooting for audio popping and tearing, I downloaded LatencyMon. I had bad results back then but now my audio tearing is FAR FAR worse than it was so i decided i would run it again. Now im getting bonkers levels of lag reported from LatencyMon. And from totally different processes than before this issue started.

I will report with the score in just a few.
