    --it wouldn't run. Every time I clicked on the script in Downloads, it would say: "close all running applications" and then never restart.
    Try my batch script: Restart-Time.bat
    See whether it works fine at your end.

    Well done. As with the .vbs version, there can be a difference of ± several seconds between consecutive runs, but the results match those of the .vbs one.
    If my batch version works fine on other members' Windows, I will ask Brink let me write a new tutorial here like the one on SevenForums. The old version there was written almost 13 years ago. It is time to have a new one here.

    Well! First: really appreciate refreshing this utility! OK. After disabling my script blocker, I ran BootRacer again, twice. Edit: One snip was too late but the numbers were very very close.

    OK. Next, I ran the batch file also twice, for consistency's sake. Since there was such a repeatable discrepancy between the two utilities, I counted 1-one thousand, two-one thousand alongside the second run of the batch file. I stopped counting at 23-one thousand when the blue box appeared.

    So, I dunno. I would LOVE to believe BootRacer and my counting ability but will accept the verdict of the batch file once it's deemed the timing is accurate. The only thing: the original vbs I ran was 32 sec., a touch faster than this .bat. Again, I was trying to measure any improvements with an updated firmware to my 980 Pro without any subjectiveness.

    Almost every file you download is automatically marked as 'blocked'. To run it you first need to unblock the file.

    Isn't the SmartScreen generally looking at valid digital signatures? I have many files I download that are blocked, but are signed correctly and SmartScreen never pops up, only when it can't verify the publisher.

    I like and use when necessary the context menu option in Shawn's Tut. Never could figure out why someone would take a lot extra effort to use Powershell to unblock a single file when you are right there looking at it. Choice for the sake of choice, I guess.

    There is no digital signature for a downloaded .bat file. SmartScreen wouldn't even let me edit Matthew's .bat file in Notepad until I had unblocked it.

    My conservative batch files (uploaded here including on the themes and the DeskThemePack changer) is SmartScreen pop out. I don't know why, I'm uploaded from my PC then downloaded here, I got the SmartScreen, and I don't know how to digitally signed an batch file.

    @Bree, and @plat,

    Restart-Time [2].bat

    I have modified the code in above version 2. Please see whether the restart time is shorter.
