See whether Bitdefender allows the following VBScript.
Sort of.
It allowed it, then said Malicious application blocked.
It managed to show me the date and time before Bitdefender blocked it.
I checked the "details" and it said "potentially" malicious script blocked.
So it probably just blocks them all.

When I used the stopwatch to time my restart, I started it when I clicked "Restart" and stopped it when I got to the login screen.
After my password is typed in... it goes to my desktop instantly.
I use an HDD too. See post #41.
Also, Fast Startup does not apply to a restart.#41#41
You wrote that your Chrome book is very fast and that the Lenovo IdeaPad S145 is slow.
The main difference is that the Chrome book has a SSD and that the IdeaPad S145 has a SSD.
Buy a SSD (SATA or M.2) and the booting times will be seconds, not minutes.
If your IdeaPad S145 has a M.2 slot you can add a 256G NVMe to run windows and programs and use the current HDD for data only. You will have the speed of a SSD and the space of a HDD at low cost.
