Tried MBAM when using Win7, it knackered my pc.
I have a better than average desktop with a restart time of 147 seconds. I wish it was faster but I am not going to sacrifice the customization and other things that I find useful.
I find it amusing that some computers with low end hardware have fast restart times. That makes sense because they were designed very conservatively with BIOSs configured for fast boot times not system performance.
On the other had my computer has a motherboard designed for high performance. I expect motherboards like that to take longer to boot. They have configurable BIOSs that have to set up the system for high performance some times in real time as the system boots. These BIOS also perform tests for stability and sometime scale things back if user modifications make things unstable.
Lenovo T430s with an SSD and 8 GB of Ram . Running Windows 10 with Windows Defender, Macrium added to boot screen and a password.
Won 2 of them when my employer was raffling them off a couple of years ago as they were buying new ones. Kept one and gave the other to my wife. Best $20 I ever spent.
