WMI provider host slowing system and lots of errors

My system is sluggish most of the time, and I'm trying to find out why.
    Rebooting the computer doesn't help.

I noticed that the WMI provider host is busy (20 - 30%), so I started chasing...

((info: I'm running WIN10 version 2004 (OS Build 19041.450 on a toshiba laptop with McAfee as AV software ))

Following online suggestions, I opened event viewer and looked at the operational log and found a bunch of errors (every 6 or 7 seconds). I'll attach screenshots of what I'm seeing.

Still following directions, I went to task manager to look up the process ID that's throwing all the errors, only to find it's NOT there at all.

Not being a computer guru at all, I'm stymied. So I'll yell for help.

    What do I do now?

You folks helped me a lot last time, and I figure you'll save me again, so - thanks in advance!

strangely enough - It kinda did.

Before this I always rebooted in an effort to fix the problem - with no glory.

Since I'd been rebooting, I never bothered with the WMI restart (figuring the reboot was the same as...)

This time, I did the restart too - and it seems to have cleared things up (go figure).

I've even rebooted since - to see if it popped back up... NOPE!

I'll admit that I don't get it, but I'm not going to complain. <shaking head in confusion>

Thanks, and I'll hope it doesn't happen again.

    OOPS! not yet!

    It's BACK!!!
Guess I was a little too optimistic about the fix.

WMI provider host is back up and bouncing around from 15 to 25%

process ID for error message is now 4096 - it still doesn't show on Task manager.
    Otherwise, same old story,

    #$$#!!!
I really don't want to have to keep kickstarting the thing to get it to behave.
Is there any way to tell just what the [censored] thing is choking on?

When I did the WMI restart before, it warned me that it was going to also restart Toshiba echo util and IP helper.
Does that shed any light on anything?

    Found it (I think)

I stopped "Toshiba ECO Util", and the problem hasn't come back since
