I try to run the sfc scan since I have been having computer problems it says it's beginning but, then says the request could not be performed? Thanks for all help!

Hi, first please check your disk. E.g. using

HD Tune v2.55 (free) Health and Error Scan tabs e.g. from Softpedia.com.
If SMART parameters cannot be read, try
    Crystal Diskinfo

    If ok please see e.g.
Quickly Fix – SFC Scannow Not Working (Focus on 2 Cases)
    which suggests some appropriate steps.

Try these, and post back with screenshots thus

    if you experience problems.

If there is an error message, please give it exactly in text form.

The forum prompted you to specify your full Windows build number, so we don't have to keep asking. Please could you do so.

I have been having computer problems
For how long have you been having problems, and what preceded that or might have led to it?

It's mostly been trouble with my internet after switching from dishnet to hughesnet. I tried to re-image using the backup I made with Macrium reflect home ver. most went on but, then I had an error pop up saying the image was corrupted after that, I haven't been able to run the sfc command.

Not trying to ignore you my internet keeps failing on me I'm going to try what you said if my crappy hughesnet will allow me to do so. Thanks!

It works with mine.. but one person found it wouldn't read their SMART params, hence I have anticipated this and given you an alternative. Compare 'Hard Disk Sentinel' whose name predates SSDs but is the best in the game and maintained, but not free like that old version of HD Tune.

Regarding your SFC failure: if your disk proves ok, see the small tool in post #2

I think I fixed my internet problem by doing a hard reset on the modem/router I will try the v2.55 program for the no sfc problem. Thanks!

Version is 1809 10.0.17763.107 I used the file to disable win updates a good while ago as they kept messing up my computer. The v2.55 program showed no errors.
