C5 & C6 values indicate redundancy errors during disk read operations, in your case one physical sector is unreadable. Secure Erase function in Parted Magic usually recovers unreadable sectors and clears this SMART values, at least for a while.
I thought I saw the same kind of thing. HDD bit-rot? Or a small amount of bad sectors?

It can be anything - platter defect/damage, aged electronics, timing/current adjustments etc. The disk is a bit old and of small capacity, imo one attempt to backup data & revive it is reasonable maximum.

Agree but only if chkdsk does not resolve.

It is very old Disc drive, maybe 14 years, they don't last forever. Replace it.

The least you use it the more chance of recovering what data is on there.

If your other Drives or indeed other hardware is of a similar age replace as well.

A HDD is reliant on other hardware on the MOBO and that may have gone out of spec due to age as well.

It seems the disk is starting to fail. I would backup everything ASAP and get a new drive.

My PC runs Windows 10, all the fans are working everything seems to be powered but when I start the pc, it is really slow.
In games where I had 200+ FPS do I now have below 10 FPS. We have done multiple antivirus tests and that is not the problem. No big programs are opened other then the game wich runs so slow it is unplayable.
    Hi overstand,

What is your CPU temp at? An easy way to check is a program called Speccy (Download Speccy | Find your computer specs, free!). Just get the free version. How old is your PC/when was the last time you had refreshed your thermal paste? Have you had a recent GPU update?

I would also check your RAM. A slow PC at start up to me flags Hot CPU or Ram going bad/failed stick. Could also check to see if your PC is still recognizing all the RAM that had been installed when you got it to make sure a stick has not failed. Also Id run the windows memory diagnostic tool. Just out this mdsched.exe in the search box and let it run. It would also be worth it to just re-seat the RAM if all checks out with the test and you PC is recognizing all your RAM. Just make sure you pull the power cord out of the back and ground your self first before touching the RAM.

    A quick and easy test:
Disconnect the D drive and test.
Remove both power and data cables, or just the power cable.

D drive does not seem to be the problem, I removed it and the PC was still as slow as before.

My CPU is at 60C so thats not the problem, my PC also recognizes all the RAM and the thermal paste seems fine; it is 3 years old. With the start of this problem we updated the GPU so thats ok!

So the four categories in Task Manager, none show above 50%. Network, Disk, CPU or memory.

What version of Windows 10 are you on?

What are you using for Anti Virus?
