Refresh problems come & go. They've been around since XP if not earlier.

Nothing you do will change the situation permanently.

I urge you not to waste your life failing to fix something that cannot be fixed.

I didn't have any issues before updating.
As I said in post #13, I had refresh issues in 1909 that were fixed by updating to 2004. There's no clearly discernable pattern to this issue and it has been seen in all previous versions.

It isn't the problem purse, it is the inconsistency of it. If I could nail down how to handle it, then it is just a thing, but when I get inconsistent results, then it is time to deal with it. I am going to wait a couple of weeks to see if MS starts addressing their bugs, but after that, something has to happen. I wrote a batch file to take care of the problem for now.

I have now dumped 2004 because I ran into the same issue with the batch file, the desktop will not always update under any circumstance. Maybe MS will get their bugs out by next year.

They have not fixed this issue and it has been around since XP if not earlier.

My PC runs well without their feature update, they haven't had a good OS since XP.
