Flash drive folder and files deletes

I am using Windows 10 home.
I have a Scandisk Ultra 32 GB flash drive.
In the last 2 months, 2 different folders disappeared (not deleted).
Each folder contained about 1000 records.
I tried using EasyUS Data Recovery Wizard to try to recover the missing files and folders,
but nothing came back on the missing files.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If even a recovery utility was not able to restore the data, I'm not really too sure that there is more that you could do.

I would have to wonder if that flash drive is experiencing problems, especially since this has happened twice.

Question: Is this the only flash drive that you use or do you also use other flash drives with which you have not had any problems?

This won't help you recover your data, but I always suggest having a minimum of one backup copy of your data. Personally, I make 3 copies of all my data. Even though I have many TB of data, it's worth the cost of the additional storage to me to be confident in my ability to recover from any failures.

EDIT: One more thought: If this is particularly important data there are data recover services that can do amazing with data recovery but their services are not necessarily inexpensive.

Going forward, if you sneaker-net and/or store folders and files on USB flash drives...consider having two twin USB devices. Copy etal onto A, then copy again onto B. Use A, use B only if A fails.

I have several flash drives. The same one has the folders that were deleted. The other flash drives work fine.
I tried the H2testw and no errors showed up.
As mentioned, I will start using multiple drives for backup.
Thanks to every one for the help.
