    Cleaning registry

Is there any native method to clean my system registry from my past installed programs ? Or, what kind of software should I used for this task, safely ?

    I am using Win10, 64bit, version 1909.

You'll most likely be advised to leave the registry alone.

Because a modern PC can fly through the registry very very quickly, so cleaning it doesn't noticeably speed up anything.

Because "safely" is a relative term, never absolute, so any bad move can be a disaster.

Because only a very small number of people have a full grasp of the Windows registry. Maybe no one reading this.

But that doesn't stop people from agonizing over the registry. Nothing worse than feeling dirty when you can at least think you did something worthwhile by "cleaning" it. Ewwww!!!!!............dirty registry!! Obsesso-compulso carries the day again.

I will probably not be the first one to tell you DON'T clean the registry with third-party tools or software. In fact, unless you are an advanced user familiar with the registry leave it well alone.

Cleaning the registry does NOT reclaim any space [ well hardly any ] or make your computer ANY faster and can [ probably WILL ] cause IRREPARABLE DAMAGE!

    I hope this helps!

I noticed that there is some uninstall software that beside uninstall the software, delete the trace of uninstalled program from registry. But I leave it alone what it is. I don't want trouble ... :)

You don't need to do that task, a few unused entries from past installs has no effect.

I'm in the "don't bother" camp on this one.

Well there is a quite safe and free program called HiBit Uninstaller that will clean up left over files after you uninstall with it. It runs the original programs uninstaller and then does a safe scan to remove residuals.

Just CCleaner Free - use default settings, except for Smart Cleaner under options. Disable that.

Download CCleaner | Clean, optimize & tune up your PC, free!

Smart Cleaning appears to be connected with files, not registry.
