Very hot laptop and strange CPU behavior

    Hello,
I have an asus laptop that uses the Intel Core i7 4750HQ CPU never had any problems.

-I recently had a problem with the HD and decided to install a new SSD with a new Windows installation and install the old HDD simultaneously using a caddy.
-A few days later I decided to update to the new version of Windows 2004.

I begin to notice that when I turn on the laptop, without using heavy programs, the computer is very hot, with the fan working hard. I install the Core Temp program and see that the CPU is at 93ēC which is very strange when I'm just browsing the internet.

Then I go to the Task Manager and see that for a second the CPU was at 100% and immediately drops to 10% then 5% and stays at 3%. The temperature also drops to 40% and 43%. This happens whenever I go to Task Manager, since I can close the Task Manager everything is normalized.

This is very strange to me. What could it be?

I have noticed that in 2004 the SysMain process (formerly called SuperFetch several versions ago) seems to work harder (but for less time) than it did in 1909. Previously users were complaining of high disk activity for up to 5 minutes after starting up, now it seems to finish in less than a minute. Maybe MS have increased its priority in 2004? Maybe that's the reason the CPU is working harder when you turn on the laptop?

What is the model of your laptop? How old is it?

Please post a screenshot of your task manager when it is hot.

How long does it take to get to a lock screen when performing a cold boot?

Unrelated: Given you had a problem with the HDD please run a disk check on it:
HD Tune v2.55 (free) Heatlh and Error scan tabs.

The notebook is an Asus k550j aged 3 to 4 years.
This does not happen for a short time I have already counted at least 15 minutes.

The task manager screenshot is almost useless, because when it's hot, at the very moment I open the task manager everything goes down. CPU usage drops and temperature drops instantly. This is what is strange.

I leave a quick screenshot that lasts only a second when I open the task manager and then a screenshot right after.

In the meantime I'm running HD Tune, it will take some time, but I already see 1.5% of Damaged Blocks.

That sounds as if it could be a useful check.

    Processes:
You could try running these BEFORE it gets hot:
    task manager: Details view

and Process Explorer (free from MS) once you've identified a process of interest, you can capture a graph of usage - I've shown two here:

Hitting your PrtSc key will capture a quick screenshot to clipboard, or you can use

You can also try a clean boot (Google or see tutorial if unsure) and compare what happens.
