windows 10 forgetting mapped drives after reboot after 2004 update

    Windows 10 32bit 2004
After update all my mapped drives lost connections, I disconnected each drive and re mapped andI can access all drives
normally. After a reboot all connections fail , i can remap drives and they all work until the next reboot all all are marked to reconnect. Ran SFC and Dism no problems . I ended up reverting back to 1909 and everything working ok.
I have a couple other Pc's 64bit that have not been updated and now I am afraid of the same issue with them .
    Any Advice?

I found upon update to 2004 on the host machine Windows decided to set Password protected file sharing on all networks and the host device couldn't be found on the network as a result.. I changed it back to 'off' and my shares were working again.

Actually, that's not new in 2004. I have a checklist of things that get reset to defaults after any Feature Update. That one always gets turned back on.

I've tested mapping a drive on both x86 and x64 W10 2004. After a restart the drives are still mapped and working.

What type of device are the shares you are mapping to on? Is it a NAS? Does it require SMB1 on the PC in order to work? If so, check to see if SMB1 got removed by the upgrade to 2004.

I do need SMB1 to access my share, it is an HDD in the USB port of my router, and the router only uses SMB1.

I just reverted back to 1909 and everything is working now.
I have a couple others that haven't upgraded yet and will wait and see with them.
I have a drives on my router , 2 Raspberry pi's as media servers When I try again I will check to see if SMB is off
Real busy doing yard work so for now I am happy .
    Thanks all for the input
