Power Options to Tray on a Desktop PC

Hi. Does anyone know if it is possible to get the power icon back into the tray on a desktop PC? Also, failing that, is anyone aware of a script or scripts that can be created that would allow me to toggle between different power options? As an example of what I am looking for see this link (no longer useful but it is what I am looking for):

Create a Shortcut or Hotkey to Switch Power Plans

    Thank you.

    Hi,
Create a Shortcut or Hotkey to Switch Power Plans

    - looks as if it may well still be valid. Have you tried it?

    See option 3:
Choose Power Plan in Windows 10

FYI only: you can add certain options to the desktop context menu:
Add Power Options Context Menu in Windows 10

    - conveniently using Winaero's tweaker (free)

but that may not be low enough level for you.

Yes, I tried it and it did not work, however the context menu fix you posted worked perfectly (Add Power Options Context Menu in Windows 10). Thx.

Not sure what the comment about "not being low level enough for me" was about. Can you explain?

haha.. not a personal comment... I meant - if you look at the link.. that the options added to the context menu are at a higher level (in the hierarchy) than the options you are interested in.
