    Random freezing for few seconds

I have many things opened like browser, TV card playing some TV show..
    and some other apps etc..

I notice that I would randomly get these temporary freezes for a few seconds..
which causes audio to also get that laggy sound, like a broken record etc or scratch cd etc..

Sometimes, once in a while (somewhat of a rare occurrence but still occurs) it would freeze permanently and I need hit the hard reset button on the pc.

Not sure what I can do to fix it...
    any ideas?

Hi, please leave task manager open, and when the freeze occurs, note resource usage or even better capture a photo or screenshot if you can.

You will find the graphs drawn under Task man, Performance tab useful.

Similarly, capture a screenshot of your task manager when similar programs are running to when the freeze occurs.

Note how much free RAM you have; CPU and disk usage.

Also run LatencyMon (free) and post a screenshot of its GUI after its run for a while.

    History: (usually omitted by posters):
    - How long has this been a problem - when did it start?
    - What preceded it starting - what change? Update? Upgrade? Installation of...?

You have enough ram to handle all the programs running. When was the last time you blow out your PC? A clogged heat sink can cause what you are describing. Start with the simple and work your way from there.

Check Reliability History for flags and information at the time of the events.
In the search box, type in---dxdiag---,on the Display page note the driver version and then check all other pages.Download the driver,or a later version if available, from the maker's site only.
If possible, use Display Driver Uninstaller [DDU] to completely remove the present driver,in SafeMode.
    Then install the new driver.
Freezing is often caused by Timeout Detection and Recovery,[TDR],where the display adapter receives a signal but fails to respond within the default time,2 secs.

I checked on the bottleneck calculator & it says you processor is about 45% too weak for your GPU if all other options do not work then you need a more powerfull CPU.

I always buy a CPU which is more powerfull than the card I have to avoid these bottlenecks I used to get 5 years ago.

    Suggestions are :

    i7 - 7700K

    i7 - 4790K

    i7 - 2600

You need to show a screenshot of the Process tab please, showing which program is using all that memory as that seems a bit excessive to me, ?

How many of those tabs do you really need open ? I ask this as you could be overloading the system with things to do ?

Maybee try using only the important programs for testing purposes without using too much ram to see if this stops the freezing ?
