    Pro vs. Enterprise benchmarks...

Some sites benchmarking hardware include testing with 10 Pro and Enterprise, like this site.

With the limited number of benchmarks, the Enterprise version performs about 7-8% better:

Presumably and pretty much standard with benchmarking, the hardware platform is the same in both cases. If that's true, might be big if, the actual difference is the W10 version.

What would cause the performance difference between the two W10 version?

    TIA...

Here you go, you can compare windows 10 pro to enterprise here.

That's strange, I cannot think of a solid reason why a hardware benchmark would be different between those two versions of Windows.

Well, there are roughly a dozen or so more "features" in the Enterprise vs. the Pro version. Based on the number of feature differences, if anything, the Pro version should be faster. Instead, the benchmark results show the opposite.

On the other hand, the Pro version has telemetry, iCloud and other connections to the Internet, that the Enterprise does not. Maybe these network connections' cumulative effect that slows down the Pro. Albeit it still does not fully explain the 7-8% performance differences for me. Or maybe I am just underestimating the effect of the network connections, with their utilization of system resources.

In either case, comparing the benchmarks for the two versions shows some interesting results. A close to 10% performance hit is nothing to sneeze at...
