    PC boot time suddenly increases

So after years of using a HDD as a boot drive I finally upgraded to an SSD and used it fully as a boot drive and the boot time was like 5 seconds.

However recently it became more than 20 seconds out of the blue. I at first thought it was because of a new PCI-E WiFi card I recently installed and I removed it and still it's 20 secs. Then I thought maybe my Ubuntu installation on the HDD caused it so I unplugged the HDD and still 20 secs.

I have no idea what's causing it and help would be greatly appreciated.

BTW I am on the latest build of 1909, 18363.815

Hi, there have been a couple of similar threads which give some tools and are worth reading through first:
    Boot slower overtime on SSD

Certainly worth reducing to just the system disk as I think you have- and no USB storage.

Have a look at your Update History - including Drivers - at the bottom.
Was there an update around the time this happened?

    Have you added any devices/drivers?

    Try disabling Fast Startup.

Here's those custom views that you can import into Event Viewer if you want to:

There's also photoshop in the warnings although I have disabled everything associated with Adobe for startup

The main thing which made me notice this is that usually after the motherboard logo, the Windows logo comes and the loading circle does one rotation, then login screen comes. Now it rotates for 10 seconds with Windows logo and keeps on doing it for 5 secs after the Windows logo disappears

Defender isn't the problem. That's normal.

I see a few things including:

Check for updates for that and install if found.

Then you've got a few other apps starting.

Suggest delaying startup for the above plus Everything, Glasswire, Nexus and see if that makes any difference.

    You can do that with:

Autorun Organizer 4.41 - Free Advanced Startup Manager for Windows

Also turn off anything you don't actually need in startup.

Disable Everything start on boot from within options.

You can create an Elevated Shorcut for that instead if you have Winaero Tweaker installed. If you don't have it I could send you the portable app that I use to create Elevated Shortcuts.

I don't have Android studio,Glasswire or Nexus installed anymore.

As you can see I had already tried using Autorun Organizer and I have everything delayed (except Defender, because I need it to start first incase any virus gets in)

And here's Boot Time and Boot Degradation

Thanks. I will look at logs later today. Do you have a rough idea of the date when the problem began to save looking through older items in the log?

I am quite sure it started about 2 weeks ago (2.5 tops), and I disabled the browser agent.
