    One of the tips is to use "Readyboost", which is using an external USB flash drive as a HD cache. I'm not sure when it was introduced, but it may have been Vista. (USB 1 and 2 weren't fast, but flash drives had lower latency than HDs.)

    Seems anachronistic, but I guess that it still is available.

    Readyboost can be useful for RAM starved systems.

    I agree @eLPuSHeR, although not so much theses days as newer systems have more RAM initially and RAM is quite cheap to buy!
