Event viewer strange things(?)

I cannot for now run diagnostics et al. because I already restored an old image and event viewer is working ok for now. i was wondering if there is some particular issue that can cause this problem to avoid it.

I remember I had 2 or 3 BSOD, can a BSOD cause this?

Also I used chocolately to automate install and updates of a couple of programs; can chocolately cause this somehow?

Logs can be scanned for problems.
If registry corruption occurs it could have event viewer corruption.
Trial and error steps can be performed when there are backups.

Just got a BSOD and ran the V2 collector, what can I look for to understand what caused it?
(it's the 2nd time happening after updates)
