    Not Responding

I seem to be getting the Not Responding state more frequently, with the activity circle spinning endlessly and the open app freezing. Sometimes I get it going by cleaning out some RAM, using F4, Super F4 and Kill IT All (If I can access it) ---- also stopping hungry Processes / apps in Task Manager, especially Malwarebytes. If I can, restarting Explorer sometimes works. But often the only thing left is the power off button. Are there other things I can try?

There are log collectors used in another Ten Forums room.
Run each V2 and DM and upload results directly into this thread:

When you are getting "Not Responding" have you opened task manager to see which category is in distress, CPU, Disk, Network, Memory. What is reporting over 75% utilize and if you sort that column what process / app is driving the usage?

    Agree with Samuri, run

    chkdsk c: /scan

In the past both of the Log Collectors have only saved empty folders, but I will try again.

M 2-in-1 Tablet PC is low spec. Task Manager usually shows low Disk usage around 0% to 5 % ---but high RAM usage, which I have to clean fairly frequently when it shows 75% to 80% plus. I have a one click tool to do this. I know it is supposed to be automatic, but it isn't and never has been. Shortly after booting it will be 45% to 55%. But as I work on it 70% plus is common and 80% plus is no good, but it has gone up to 90% and the PC freezes.

Malwarebytes is the main culprit (I am following advice in another thread) along with browsers, including new Edge. The same tool and Task Manager often shows CPU as 100% when apps are running. It has usually been around 100% since new, about 5 years ago. Other than these most running or background apps are only using around 5% or less.

Apart from Malwarebytes and Edge the main drain is CTF Loader (?). The first 2 can be stopped when not online. I can generally do all I want, with occasional 'out of resources' stoppage (streaming videos) but lately it has been happening more often'. For years I have used a few Gadgets but for a while I have tried managing without them as the Sidebar is quite hungry.

At the moment the Task Manager figures are RAM 81% CPU 40% or less (surprising) Disk 0%

I hope this makes some sense.

I should have reported these two things. First, Check Disk does not return any errors on C. Second, I should have made it clear that 'Not responding' / 'Not enough resources' notifications do not only occur when the PC has been in use for a while and with obviously heavy activities such as video streaming. It quite often occurs almost right after booting, maybe a couple of minutes later, and when only a couple of apps have been launched, as well as RAM usage being reported as 40% to 50% ie. quite low. So I have to restart before I have got anything done.

So Not Responding is a message coming from the apps, like your WIFI is either not on or it is resetting itself?

I ask as my wife's computer will and will not connect to wifi right after sleeping. We thought we had it solved, but in the last couple of days it is back. Once it has settled down it connects and stays connected.

When you see these not responding message(s) is your wifi connected, no special symbols?

My WiFi on PC and Phone are OK (though not on a Samsung TabA, likely a fault with that Tablet). Having said that, on the PC I have been having problems with YourPhone and MightyText which could be WiFi, though not apparent. I always get good connection and speed when checking with Ookla Speed Check.

Can you back up your tablet as is and then basically clean install it, no additional programs, gadgets, tools. Then test.

You said it was low-spec. Really puzzled on your comment that you have to manage Ram. Is your page file set by system or did you alter?

See if you can run each V2 and DM from safe mode in addition to normal boot:
