High RAM usage by one app

I only have 4GM of RAM in my 2-in-1 Tablet PC and do encounter 'not enough resources' freezes and notifications, mainly online with video streaming --- though not as much as I did before following advice on this Forum a while back, plus I constantly clean RAM with a one click utility. (I know it is supposed to clean automatically, but it does not seem as quick as doing it manually). I still keep Sidebar Gadgets on my system, but for some time I have not used Gadgets (which I like) so I stopped the Sidebar from loading on Boot.

Recently while examining Task Manager I noticed just one app is always consuming more than 30% of the RAM, much more than any other app. It is perhaps not surprisingly, Malwarebytes. It is set to run in the background. Is there anything I can do about that? I have nearly a year of a subscription to run, before I stop using it, which I have been considering because all it seems to have detected over many years of use are harmless (?) PUPs. I suppose I could simply stop Malwarebytes and just run it every so often? I welcome advice, as I do not want to be taking unnecessary risks. I now rely on Windows Defender, having given up on Norton for a couple of reasons, plus IOB Malware Fighter which comes with IOB ASC.
