Open Powershell as admin (WIN+X, Windows Powershell (Admin)).

Copy/paste this command, and ENTER. It may reveal more info as to what is happening during the Trim/Optimize.

    Optimize-Volume -DriveLetter C -ReTrim -Verbose

Take a screenshot of the results and post.

    Thanks for that....

For reference, this is my C: drive SSD. Notice the last stats on each. Please run the exact same command one more time and post.

In addition, we need to verify that TRIM is indeed enabled.

Reference: Enable or Disable TRIM Support for Solid State Drives in Windows 10

At an Admin command prompt, copy/paste this, enter, and post results.

    fsutil behavior query disabledeletenotify

One last check, for now. We need to make sure the "dirty bit" has not been set on that drive.

    At Admin command prompt:

    fsutil dirty query C:

    Sample output:
    Volume C: is dirty
    Volume C: is not dirty
