My Win10 occasionaly crashing (Event ID 41) - please help

Hello everyone,

My Win10 Version 1903 (OS Build 18362.720) occasionaly crashing (Event ID 41 - The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.)

It doesn't happens to often, but still happens, and I already lost unsaved work due to this problem. Tried various diagnosis software without results, I still don't know what is this happening. Ran Memtest x86 for 8h, shown no errors, no crashing durring performing prime95 calculation. The crashing usually occurs when my PC is in IDLE in windows desktop, or while I just browse internet with chrome. I never crashed durring playing any game. Yesterday I simply put my PC to sleep, but it returned from sleep after 10mins without any reason, then crashed twice durring the night when I was sleeping (according to logs).

This is quite new PC, I built it 6 months ago, I'm pretty experienced with building computer setups.

I have the same issue, when I contacted gigabyte they said that my motherboard doesn't have win 10 dch drivers.
Which meant that the computer would not recover from sleep, hard reboot only.
I find that win 10 version 1804 works fine but any upgrade after that breaks it. have a look at my thread I just posted.
probably the guys here will have some good solutions.

Hmm, didn't think of it. Yeah that might be the case too, I never had such problems before, it has started on January this year.

also, from what I've seen online, seems to be more of an issue with AMD platform

sorry, disregard that last post, seems intel is just as prone.
As The gigabyte technician says check and see if the motherboard is certified for win 10.
I had just assumed that mine being certified for Win8, qualified it for win 10 but those pesky DCH drivers seem to be the problem.
Im just wondering why nobody from Microsoft cares to comment about this?

My mobo is Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Master. Not sure what to do now.... For now I have sent a report to Gigabyte support.

Any time I've had an Event 41, replacing the computer power supply always fixed it.

My PSU is decent one, Seasonic Titanium 850W, but I don't know if this is the case. I cannot return it for checking without making sure that the problem is there.

Small update: got response from gigabyte support: "reinstall your windows if possible" ..... no comments.
