    What should I upgrade?

    Computer type:
    PC/Desktop
    OS:
    Microsoft Windows 10
    CPU:
    Intel Core i5-4690 3.50Ghz
    Motherboard:
    ASRock Z97 Extreme3
    Memory:
    8 GB
    Graphics Card(s):
    AMD Radeon RX 570
    Browser:
    Google Chrome
    Antivirus:
    Windows Defender

The overall performance of my computer is going down, I can't have too many things open or it will start to lag. Also, while playing Minecraft I will get a ton of lag spikes. I was wondering if I should buy more ram. I have had this computer for 5 years and I wouldn't be surprised if I needed to buy more. Either that or maybe it has something to do with my power supply because it is a CX500M and I recently found out that this model isn't the best for gaming. This is my task manager when I am currently using Minecraft..

    Hi,
At 65% memory usage so another 8gb's might help that figure.

Otherwise yeah hdd or ssd ?
SSD's are dirt cheap now days.

I have an SSD with 110 gb on it (originally had 128gb) It is a Kingston SSD. Also, thanks for the suggestion on the amount of ram I should get, I will do that.

    How old is your PC?
CPU temp is probably holding back your PC and re-pasting the CPU cooler would probably help if you are up for that and probably getting a bigger fan cooler.
Otherwise. RAM upgrade is the easiest to do.

My pc is 5 years old I believe and by re-pasting the cpu cooler do you mean using thermal paste? I’ve never done that before but I’m willing to do it.

Yup. It's not actually hard. Stock coolers are very easy remove. Thousands of easy tutorials on Youtube.

    Robot Check

I was thinking of buying this, what are your thoughts?
It is not the same brand as my other ram, which is why I’m going to replace my old ram with this. I tried to find my original ram but it’s either sold out on websites or just not there. This hyperx ram is compatible with my motherboard, I made sure of it, and it has good reviews.

There is always the chance that this ram will work alongside my other ram, so I’ll give it a shot.
