    DISM/SFC-Scannow Command Prompt Tool not creating 'SFC Detail file..


    Hello,

    I have utilised the 'Image Health' tool in one of our helpful members signature...It works great, however after syncing files with One Drive, the Command Prompt batch file works correctly except I'm getting this:

    The system cannot find the path specified,
    A SFC Details report was Created on your Desktop.

    No report is created now...I did a thorough search prior to starting a new thread...

    P.S.S. I uninstalled OneDrive (not the app)...more then likely missing .ink files somehow got messed up with OneDrive syncing...

    Only the author of that software can tell you what it is trying to do & how it is trying to do it and hence what might be going wrong.

    I suspect that it uses an inappropriate method of referring to your user folders i.e. that it is making assumptions about where they are & your use of OneDrive has not been provided for.

    it is looking for the CBS.log and the report is created on userprofile desktop
    Code:
    findstr /c:"[SR]" %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log >"%userprofile%\desktop\SFC Details.txt"
    So not sure what path is not found

    Also just noticed it is an OLDER version of Image Health you are using - use link in my sig to update

    Ok, I have D/L and installed latest 'Heath-Image' file in your signature to update...same results as above.

    How do I enter your 'code' above.

    Batch File is looking for
    "C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log"
    &
    "C:\Windows\Logs\DISM\dism.log"
    then they copied to your Desktop

    Sorry then. If your Desktop is still at
    C:\Users\%UserName%\Desktop
    then my relocation comment is not relevant.

    If the Admin account you use to run the tool is a different account to your normal one then it is the Desktop folder of that admin account you will need to look in to see the output files.
    - If this is the case then look in C:\Users for your admin account name and look in there for a Desktop folder
    - Access limitations probably mean that the easiest way to get in there might be to log in to your admin account in order to look around but it depends on circumstances.

    echo %userprofile%
