Intel USB 3.0 extensible host controller preventing PC from sleeping

Hi everyone! Since I've upgraded to windows 10 I've been experiencing some sporadic problems where my PC will not go into sleep mode. I ran powercfg lastwake in command prompt and it came up with Intel (R) USB 3.0 extensible Host Controller. I then tried going to device manager to try and un-check the "Allow this device to wake computer" option but obviously there is no such option for it under Universal Series Bus Controllers. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?
    thanks in advance

What if anything do you have connected via USB 3? Have you tried to disable the controller in the bios to see if the problem persist?

I think the only possibility is that it could be my Netgear WNDA3100v2 N600 Wireless Network Adaptor. I have made sure that both my mouse and the keyboard are set to not wake my PC.
