Windows 10 is slow at creating, renaming and deleting folders

Hi, I'm new to this forum and I've came here hoping I could find a solution to my annoying problem.
I'm running Windows 10 Pro x64 version 1909 and for a few weeks, creating folders, renaming and deleting them takes quite a while to complete (around 10 seconds or so).
I've tried a lot of solutions that didn't help me in the end, such as running "sfc /scannow" or chkdsk.

Welcome to the forum. This can be due to many things slow HD high CPU use anti virus. To oview a folder it has to scan the drive to get all the details and it reads it into memory so if memory is full it can cause it. Is the drive a SSD or spinner

The drive is an SSD, but this problem happens on any drive on my computer, be it the SSD itself or other mechanical hard drives. As for high CPU use, that's not the case either

Check in the power plan settings that the maximum CPU state is set to 100%

How much RAM do you have?
You say it has been happening "for a few weeks" so can you remember if you installed anything just before the problem started? If so then that could be the cause if it is hogging your RAM, especially if you only have a small amount of RAM. Try uninstalling it and see if things improve. It could even be a Windows Update that doesn't suit your computer. You can always re-install it if it doesn't work.

I checked, it was already set to that value

I only have 8GB of RAM, but its use is not high, around 20% with no programs running

more than enough RAM. That is not the issue. Did you check the health of the SSD?

c. After a clean boot

Deleting a folder may sometimes take some time if it contains many items. The other operations should not as you know.

Okay, I've done these and:

a. Creating folders in safe mode is the same as creating them normally
b. With a new user, creating them has no delay at all, so it has no problems
c. Clean boot solved nothing on my main user

What makes you think the SSD is fine?
