    Icons resetting.

I have this issue for a few days since i've upgraded my monitor. Since then every time i restart my pc my icons go out of the arrangement i had them in. I have already tried deleting the Icon cache.db in appdata/local folder and restarted but issue still persists.. Does anyone have any idea why this would be happening.. Only change is going from a 27" asus monitor to a 34 Ultra wide alienware monitor, Both are also 1440p..

I have tried turning auto arrange on and off again still no luck.

This is driving me crazy, i have tried deleting the icon db manually from folder. Have used powershell to delete and rebuild database. Have uninstalled and reinstalled graphics drivers using cc cleaner. Never had this issue until I started using this monitor.

Icon rearrangement sometimes happens to me for no apparent reason. I use DesktopOK to store & reset the icon configuration.

Set the icons the way you want then right click on the Desktop and select Refresh. See if that helps.

Additionally, use DesktopOK as Steve C suggested. Setup the icons, tell DesktopOK top save the setup and restore the setup on a reboot. You can also restore the setup any time you want. Great little program, I have been using it for a long time.

Yeah i have used it and I am forced to use it now.. It just is a pain to have this issue when there is no determinable reason for it.

Could be due to a change of screen size and/ or refresh rate changing from desktop being shown and graphics driver settings being applied, are you running the monitor at native size and refresh rate or custom? Also any scaling happening in the graphics driver?
On my system I turned scaling off and icons stay where put.

You can also store multiple layouts using DesktopOK. Separate settings are stored for each account.
