    Very Slow Boot Times - Possible driver problem


    Over the last or so my computer has become very slow to boot and I am unsure how to fix the issue. As it was a boot issue the first thing I did was turn on boot logging (see Boot Log below) where I noticed there was multiple drivers being loaded multiple times, so I attempted to updating all the drivers to no avail. I then tried deleting and reinstalling the driver, but that didn't work either, so I ran start up repair, however, this failed and the log doesn't point to any cause of the failure (see Start-up Repair Log below). I then attempted to use CCleaner to clean the registry, but the same drivers are still being loaded multiple times. After looking online, I came across someone found a fix using a couple of commands to repair Windows Update and checking for corrupted Windows system files (see Windows Update Commands below), however, the tool reported there was no issues with any files. I then tried to reset the PC, keeping personal files, using Windows Troubleshooting, but the problem still persists.

    I am at a loss now, and I don't know what else to try. I am starting to think it might not even be the drivers that are the problem, but I don't know where else to look for issues.

    Hi, the (very) technical graphic analysis that can be used to diagnose such problems- but for which there is almost no support here- is this:

    Download and Install Windows Performance Toolkit in Windows 10

    You will find examples of screenshots from its use in threads here which you can search for using eg.

    Yours seems to be a reasonably recent laptop from around 2017.

    Did the slow boot perhaps start after w Win 10 build upgrade?

    Note that you can use Autoruns (free from MS) to temporarily disable startups including drivers.
