I tried most everything suggested in a similar thread of 2015. I barely touch my mouse and instantly my PC boots up. I'm capable of pressing the ON button, I don't need help from the mouse. Any ideas on how to disengage this feature?
"Booting" generally refers to starting the PC from a completely OFF condition. (Start > Power > Shut Down)
Waking refers to bringing the PC out of Sleep or Hibernation modes.
Are you saying the mouse can start the PC from a completely OFF condition?
On BIOS settings - Power you have a option to wake up the computer by mouse and/or keyboard. Disable it.

If the computer is off, and by off it means that it has been shut ed down (not on sleep or hibernation mode), there is almost nothing on memory.
So the signal to trigger to boot is given on a low level and the only thing that can give this signal is a hardware allowed by BIOS.

That will be my next step. I always try first to find resolutions. Dell uses India for its cust. svc. now and understanding Indians is another undesirable challenge. Thanks.
