    Before storage sense

I used to use disc cleanup along with system files and remove everything including downloads. Now with storage sense I am reading not to clean downloads.

Also I now read that only %temp%should be run not temp.

Please help me get this straight.

Windows key plus R gets a dialog box where the %temp% gets entered, pressing Enter should take one to that folder then can delete everything there. Some files may still be in use and can't be deleted but there will be a warning about that, just Skip over each.

    I do delete %temp%.
what about the temp folder itself?
Also should the downloads folder be cleaned out or left alone

Leave the Temp folder in place, Windows may just recreate it but not sure about that. Along with Windows many programs put files there for their own reason, sometimes during their install but maybe also while running.

As for Downloads, that would be up to you as that contains things you download such as the installation file for a program free or that you purchased on line, images from the 'net, etc.
