I have seen on the FOXCONN 2AB1 specs that you have one USB 3.0 port on the back of the computer. It is probably a Red or Blue.

I don't see any USB ports on the back that are either red or blue.They are all black.

On the motherboard there are 4 SATA 2 slots. White, Light blue, Dark blue and Tan. The Tan one is not in use.

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you but i ran into a few problems.after cloning (using Macrium) my internal HDD to the new SSD, i couldn't boot the computer. never had that problem before. apparently something went wrong during the process. i now have to reinstall Win 10 on that HHD. in the meantime, i ordered a new computer that has (4) USB 3.0 ports and (6) 2.0 ports.

After i fix the boot problem on the computer (i made a Win 10 x64 Installation CD), i'll try to clone to the SSD again. if successful, i'll use the computer with the new SSD installed to transfer everything to the new computer i just ordered. I'll keep you posted on my progress. Thank you

You don't need to install Win 10 to the HDD and then clone to the SSD.
Detach all drives from the MB (SATA or power cable) leaving on only the SSD. Boot from the Win 10 installation disk and install same version (Home or Pro) on the SSD. As you are reinstalling Win 10 on same computer it will activate.
When you finish, attach the HDD and copy your data from the HDD to the SSD.
When done, open disk manager and delete all partitions on the HDD, create a new partition, format as NTFS and use it for data and backups.

If i install Win 10, ONLY to the SSD, i realize that i'd have to copy all my files, folders, from the HDD afterwards. Will i have to reinstall all of my programs to the SSD?

I absolutely do NOT want to lose any of my programs, files folders etc. if i do as you suggest, i think i'd have to re-install all of my 100+ programs. while i realize there are no guarantees, is there any chance i'll lose anything?

I understood that you were doing a clean install on the HDD and then doing a clone to the SSD.

Can you boot from the HDD?
What went wrong when cloning?

I have no idea what went wrong during the clone. No, I can't boot from either the HDD or the SSD.
Although i don't always test the cloned drive, i never had a problem before.

If i could boot from the HDD i'd try the clone again. So, i have to figure out how to get the HDD to boot without doing a clean install. Once i can do that, i'll just do the clone again.It would seem to me that someone out there could figure how how to just fix the boot situation on the HDD that somehow got messed up.

Detach all other drives from the MB, boot from a Win 10 installation drive and do a boot repair.
Do it on the HDD and the SSD, one at a time.
