the picture you show is what the HDD looked like before i cloned it to the SSD.
the reason NNL9 shows the HP recovery partition is because i thought it best to include it during the clone.

i have uploaded three snips (macrium before SSD clone,.Clone of HDD to SSD, and what SSD looked like immediately after the clone finished).

    hope this helps..

here's more: a snip of HDD (GQ0T) showing the 'C' partition showing Boot and Page File.
and a snip of the SSD NOT showing the Boot or Page File. i thought that strange.

As I wrote before, your system is a mess. It has a HP_Recovery (to restore Win 7) partition but doesn't have Win 10 Recovery partition.

You have not given me what I ask.
For example, I can see on the HDD System GQ0T (System, A...?). On SSD System GQ0T (Active, P....?)
Open Disk Manager (C:\Windows\System32\diskmgmt.msc). Expand the whole window and columns. Take a snapshot and post it here. I want to see the whole window and the Status column.

Boot and Page File only shows on the disk that you're booting from. As you're booting from the HDD, it doesn't show on the SSD

    Deaf Dave said:
Win 10 installation flash drive took 6 hours to make! I also made a cd of the same installation. that didn't take as long to make. I ran 'startup repair' using the cd and after about 1 second, it said "could not repair your pc" and offered no reasons of why not.Under 'advanced options' i tried to do a system restore to earlier point in time and message said "must specify which windows O/S to restore to". seems pretty silly to me that the program can't determine what the O/S is. besides that, i never saw that option.

i also created a Macrium 'recovery drive'. under troubleshoot - startup repair message said "a required device isn't connected or can't be accessed. ERROR: 0cxc0000000e (File:\Windows\system32\winload.exe). you'll need to use recovery tools."press enter to try again. press F8 for start settings". it must have a bug in it because every time i pressed either option, the screen just flickers and returns to where it was.... very frustrating!
That is not normal! If you are talking about making the flashdrive itself, it only takes 5 minutes or 10 at the most. There is something wrong with your transfer speeds. Have you checked your hard drive with CrystalDiskInfo??? What about your chipset drivers?

i'm not familiar with all the technical nomenclature so please bear with me. as to Win 7 in Recovery partition, i have no idea why it's still Win 7 after i upgraded to Win 10.

here's all that i could fit in the snip of C:\Windows\System32. there was no file for diskmgmt.msc.
