High Memory usage when using Utorrent

When I am using Utorrent my RAM usage grows from around 20% to nearly 100% over a few hours and can eventually freeze the PC. This seems to have started happening from the last Preview releases until now. Windows defender and Malwarebytes could be part of the problem. When not using Utorrent everything is OK.
    Any ideas ?

    Hi,
why not try uninstalling it and then reinstalling it, its a small program. If not try using the portable version to see if it yields the same results, the portable version is not installed but simply ran.
Also what files are currently being used by p2p, anything suspicious? You are vulnerable to others via this p2p network, and there could be malicious activity.

Thanks I've tried that and no improvement. As for suspicious files, I've been using Utorrent since 8.1 (and before) and downloading from pretty much the same servers and had no problem until WIN 10 ?

May be worth trying a different client. Have a look at this one

Just found a thread that indicated that Windows Network Data Usage Monitoring (Ndu), possibly together with Killer Network drivers was the problem and that is what I have. I stopped Ndu and the problem has gone!! Looks like a bug fix for Microsoft

Mine seems to be running fine too. Is UTorrent up to date? It's updated a lot.
qBittorrent is also very nice, but I have grown accustomed to using uTorrent.

Make sure you have downloaded the latest Killer Network application and driver, they just updated it recently. I also have Killer Networking and NDU running at the same time, no problem with uTorrent.

Thanks for that. Are you using the Killer Network drivers only or the Killer Network Suite?

Killer Network Suite, I need it. Very useful for me while playing online games while downloading, uploading or streaming.
