Hello All
I have a Media Card Reader on my Asus G11CD-K, and lately my USB 3.0 ports in front are kinda hard to plug into for some of my drives, should i clean those out next time i do dust cleaning? ((Only have an Electric air duster, Xpower device is that safe to use for that or should i get also a can of compressed air to use next time i do dust clean out))

A can of compressed air would do just fine for cleaning. Apply it to your case ports and device ports.

Please make sure you're plugging the USB device in the right way as doing it wrong can break the USB port or cable - been there, done that. Here's a diagram I created to show what I mean...
So, if you have to "force" a cable in, consider you might be inserting it wrong. Or the pin board may already be broken or damaged. That said, it still could be possible to use the port. However this now becomes a shorting issue! As I said, been there, done that
The main thing with the can of air is the propellant, don't want any liquids getting into things.
Have seen folks try to plug into an HDMI port or an eSATA port although it's possible for the eSATA to be dual-purpose, may have a symbol near the port to designate that.

why not get a small USB3 Hub -- unpowered 2 or 3 port one might be fine -- then you have ZERO risk of breaking connections on the main computer == the 4 port sabrent (unpowered) even has switches on each port too with a blue led showing when the port is active -- even having 2 HDD's connected won't slow throughput down much.

Yeah will look into getting a small usb 3.0 hub for birthday, and plug extra devices into that, and less into actual computer ports. I believe am plugging in right way, but i'll double check that next time i do plug in a device, and hopefully all is well after that.
Thank you all so much for the replies thus far, tries a device now, and if it plugs in fine, then yay lol.. I know I've used these front ports a whole lot since got machine in September 2017 lol, starts using rear more for the usb 3.0 hard drive backup devices
Edit: Seems to be functioning pretty well now, perhaps I was almost plugging in wrong into the ports in the first place, drive went in smoothly this time, both front and rear ports in use currently, with minor file backups, still will look into small usb 3.0 hub and use that instead of main Desktop ports so often
A USB hub is inexpensive compared to replacing a broken port that may happen. I learned that one, early!!
Yeah well i'll think about the USB Hub and determine if really needed in future here, might still get it, not 100 percent sure lol as yet. Otherwise functioning fine it seems now
