Windows 10 Running Slow after Update

It's been a few months since I was able to update Windows. After many frustrating attempts, including my laptop being out of commission for 2-1/2 weeks, I was finally able to update to windows 10 version 1903 build 18362.476. I have an HP laptop, G6-2235 us. I have 8 gb of RAM. However, the laptop is running very slow, including interactions on the internet. Any suggestions as to how to proceed? Thank you.

Congratulations on upgrading. Sorry to hear your PC is running slowly.

    - how much free disk space do you now have on C: ?
    - does your task manager show any significant activity when you observe this slowness?

Do you see any difference if you perform a clean boot? (Google if unsure how or see tutorial here).

In what specific way(s) other than internet-related activities does it seem slow? Please give examples stating time.

    Internet: do you mean
    - downloading speed
    - browsing from page to page (on all sites)?
    - something else

Noted your PC has drivers available to Win 8.1
