sometimes when access a folder in J:/ - just repaired with chkdsk - videos files one by one somehow infected/disappeared
other folders OK and can access videos files
any comment on this???

Ask if a Farbar scan is indicted.
If yes, then perform the scan.
For chkdsk there was insufficient information about the scan.
We cannot tell whether it was successful or unsuccessful or whether it was complete or incomplete.
After completing any steps in the other TF room plan to run chkdsk /r /v J: using Windows RE.

Thanks for the call. Two reasons why I haven't been seen here 1. There is really no data recovery project coming up here where I could contribute 2. l haven't been keeping good health for the past few months. Just peep in here occassionally.
The problem you are facing here is " correcting errors in the uppercase file chkdsk" "Aftereffect of CHKDSK correcting errors in the Uppercase File".Data Recovery Software Products - Runtime Software Products Before trying that check your friend's system for any malware and clean it.
I hadn't anytime in the past dealt with data recovery under these conditions and the prognosis is not good. In an effort to repair,Ckeckdisk with its limited capabilities has left your files corrupted. Just google search with the above search terms. I am afraid that whatever corruption has taken place cannot be undone. However I would recommend that you try Getdataback pro (Trial version) and check whether it can recover the corrupted files. ( You can open and play the files and check the file integrity. If satisfied only then buy it.)
ASAP check your friend's system for any malware and clean it.
