How to get recent Dell Latitude to wake via keyboard/mouse ?

Friends I'm customizing a very nice Dell Latitude E7470 which is working really well but for one issue I find annoying.
This does have a BIOS setting to enable or disable the system to manage power to devices for battery conservation. I have disabled and enabled that in trying to get Wakeup from Sleep State via keyboard. For that matter, lid open would do also. My Daily driver ultrabook and many other laptops will awaken from all the above: opening lid, pressing any key or mouse or touchpad click.

I have, in power options, the lid set to sleep on close, both batt and ac, I have the Power button set to shutdown, I have the so-called "sleep button" set to "do nothing" [see below], and with these settings [which i use on all my laptops and those I work on for others] things work well. On this one, the only way to awaken from sleep with current options is by pressing the "sleep button" [the power button that is winking in sleep mode] once lightly. After a brief delay the system begins wake operation.

It works the same on AC/charger as batt.

anyone been here and figured out a fix?

Fixed. Turns out there was an important BIOS redo on the 19th. After that, lid close/open does now work

Yes, it is nice, isn't it. I have the E7270 (same design, but a smaller screen).

Thanks for the heads up, same bios on my machine - installed now
