    Cortana Uses 30% CPU

How do I stop Cortana from using so much CPU? It's causing problems with games and videos. The only clue I've found is that if I end the Cortana task in Task Manager, Cortana restarts and subsequently suspends itself.

    Cumulative Update KB4512941 Windows 10 v1903 build 18362.329 - Aug. 30

See above; a common issue if you have installed KB4512941.

    Have you?

You can try this: How to Fix High CPU Usage Caused by Windows 10 Cumulative Update KB4512941

It's a bug since the recent update, assuming you have it installed. Hopefully it will be fixed next tuesday.

Thanks. The comment about enabling Bing search in the registry solved it.

    Hi,
    If I wasn't still using win-7
I'd be saying what happened to the good old days when bing was nothing more than a browser search option easily removed

If you don't use Cortana, disable it or uninstall it.
