Windows 10 cleanup keeps finding Windows Update

This is roughly 6 times I've found this 'Windows 10 Update' when cleaning up temporary files. After supposedly removing it, it stays gone for a bit then will show up again. It appears to be removed but why does it keep showing up do you suppose?

Are you, for example, repeatedly receiving a failed update or upgrade? Have a look at your Update History.

Actually, I have not had a failed update in Windows 10 since it first came out. Looking at the history, everything shows a successful installation. Plus what I'm seeing here is way too large for a cumulative update.
It's weird because this Windows update only appears once in a while but even after I uninstall it, it doesn't show any space recovered. Let me know what you think.

To which cleanup method are you referring? A screenshot might help to illustrate..

I go to Settings, Storage then clicking on Temporary Files and there the option is given to remove temporary files. This is where I see at times the 2.36 GB update. I've found it going through Control Panel and doing a cleanup from within there also. As said, after removing it, the thing will disappear for a week or two then suddenly just decide to show up again. Should I be keeping a Class A & B Fire Extinguisher close by? Or do you have a solution up your sleeve?

Suggest you post a screenshot of the file(s) you are seeing and explore properties to discover what you can.

Without knowing what the files relate to, suggesting resetting Windows update (tutorial) or using ccleaner is merely a stab in the dark.

Ok, when that comes up there again, I'll post a shot to this thread. As to getting the properties to that, I wasn't aware one could, especially from the Settings of which I referred to earlier. And I'll run the Troubleshooter on the Windows Update to see if that does anything. Thanks for your help!

Try this and see if it shows the same:

There's this, but at this point I'm unsure of its relevance as we don't know what the files relate to:

Though I have removed that Update several days ago, what you're showing me I have used and yes indeed, it showed the Update there also. I think I'll run the Troubleshooter for the Windows Update and see if that does anything. If it does show up again, I'll post it here to this thread.

From there you should be able to see the files, and thus maybe what they relate to.
