When running V2 click extract all:
    BSOD - Posting Instructions

For HD Sentinel each disk drive in the left column can be clicked.
Then there are results for each tab which can be displayed.

So for each disk drive post images for results with these software:
    1) HD Tune:
    a) Health
    b) Benchmark
    c) Full error scan

    2) Sea Tools for Windows:
    a) long generic scan

    3) chkdsk /r /v

    4) HD Sentinel
    Overiew
    Temperature
    SMART
    Disk performance

Extract all for the bad drive

The other drives are fine, only the WD N drive is faulty.

    Thanks everyone

Thanks everyone for assisting me in my external hard drive issues...it turned out that it needed a 3.0 USB connection instead of 2.0, and it's worked fine since I made the switch. My local PC shop gave me that tip when I took it to them.
    Many thanks to everyone!!

If available post a link displaying that requirement.

Please rerun HD tests including full error scan while connected to USB3.

    Hi there
I'm glad you got it fixed but I think the advice given in theory was a load of Bull -- I can't think of any consumer grade HDD which would work on USB3 but not USB2 -- on USB2 of course much slower data transfer but the wretched device should still work.

I suspect cabling or connection problems rather than inherent failure of the HDD itself.

Also depending on the requirements of the device it might need to be run from a powered / charging USB port -- could be on your PC the USB2 ports were not charging ones whereas the USB3 one was. You should check whether the USB device needs power (usually 5V from the USB port) or can run "self powered" like those pocket type passport WD drives.

I've found in general (there might be a few--usually a very few and rare to find good ones) computer stores etc really haven't a clue on the technical nature of what they are selling and if you do buy from those places "Up selling" and making customers buy useless expensive "extended warranty" plans is endemic.

    Cheers

Z, I am in the middle of an important video editing project, but I did run the tests on the drive connected to the USB 3.0 hub. Attached are the results.
    Thanks again!

All my HDDs work fine in both USB3 and USB2. In fact, I've even used them successfully (albeit slowly) in USB1 (thankfully that machine has now been 'retired').

The third HD tune scan was good.

The WD website displayed the following information for WD My Book 2000 GB:

    Interface

    USB 3.0, USB 2.0

When possible please contact the technician so we can understand what had happened.
