Hi there. Yes i did the 1903 update not long ago. So you mean after 10 days, that would be removed automatically so instead of me having about 30gb free, i will have over 65gb free total?
Yes, it should be automatically removed after 10 days, after which you will no longer be able to roll back to your previous version. Sometimes the automatic deletion doesn't work, in which case see the tutorial. If you are happy that you won't want to roll back, then you can use the tutorial to delete it before the 10 days are up.

Hi. I just noticed my laptop added up about 30gb of space to my hard drive.

Is everyone else who had this happen also had about 30gb or so added back?

Sound like your 10 days has passed and the windows.old folder has been automatically deleted. 20-30GB is a typical size for windows, old. You said yourself earlier in this thread...

500gb samsung 860 evo's are dirt cheap so are 1-2tb

You m.2 is also pretty small prices a dropping like flies.

Cleaning cache files, old update files etc is only a palliative solution. You will be facing the same problem a week or a month later.

Have you considered deleting all Restore Points (RPs)? Doing this can release Gigabytes of disk space if there are several RPs. After deleting them all you can create a new RP which will use (a lot) less space than before.

Also consider using CCleaner to selectively delete restore points.
