    DUplicate rundll32.exe in DCOM

Wondering could it be possible to get rid of the duplicate rundll32.exe entry from dcom. When opening dcom warning is shown (have clicked no recording).

Different programs/apps are using them. Is there a problem with a possible infection on your machine?

THERE IS TWO COPIES OF RUNDLL32.EXE IN SYSTEM32 AND SYSWOW64.

Have read that rundll32.exe is oldfashion program. Why is it in system32 folder (OS win10 pro 64).

rundll32.exe is in my System32 and SYSWOW64 folders on both my working system (W10 v1809) and my test system (W10 - Insider Fast Ring build 18956). This is normal for Windows. It provides backwards compatibility for older programs that still call rundll32.exe from the System32 directory.

Unless you know which programs need it and which don't - then I'd leave it alone.
You can test it by renaming it to rundll32.OLD and seeing if you run into any problems. But even if you do get problems, it may not be associated with rundll32.exe, and it may make things really difficult on you (in usage and in troubleshooting). This is an awful lot of risk just to save the 70 kB of space that it takes up.

The system32 and syswow64 folders are not what they might seem. The system32 folder contains 64 bit files while the syswow64 folder contains 32 bit files needed for 32 bit processes. A 32 bit process will attempt to access system files in system32, just as it would with a 32 bit OS, but will be silently redirected to the 32 bit files in syswow64.

I know this seems backwards but there are good reasons for it being designed this way.

The windows folder and all of it's subfolders should be considered read only, do not delete or modify, unless you really understand what you are doing. There is a lot more going on here than is immediately apparent.

Ok. They are for different things. Also do not use your cap's lock to scream about nothing.

Would like to relate system error to warning shown in the first post.

Anyway I could not found enough webfrom explanation.

That just means that it could not find any Bluetooth devices for Harmony Wireless. You can find all of this out by doing searches instead of trying to make a pointless argument. Here is some reading for you. https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/car...-event-logs-2/ There are going to be some error events in the log that have been there forever and are considered not important, due to the nature of how Windows is written and that they are from old code. There are others that only apply to Domains and Windows Server. Some items relate to embedded OS and even PLC's. Seeing duplicate items in DCOM is normal, since entries relate to a specific item that is attached in the Hex String for that item. What is DCOM (Distributed Component Object Model)?

Some errors like the 1005 can relate to Windows Search being disabled.

    Hi again,

unfortunally I stucked in the same error again.
    .
    Now clean install build 1909.
When windows Bluetooth is turned off no DCOM and BTHUSB warnings at all, so I disconnected built-in BT device and installed CSR Harmony driver, using USB BT dongle. CSR functions as standalone app, Windows BT is not available. Bluetooth headphones are connected and functions correctly.

No warnings only error at shutdown/restart

    Error DistributedCOM 10005
DCOM got error "1115" attempting to start the service CsrBtService with arguments "Unavailable" in order to run the server:
    {BFF6845D-E49A-4A99-9609-418ED36F1C54}

    Any suggestions please.
