I have a Sony Vaio l/top about 1 year old, my problem is its taking about 5 mins to boot up then the task bar on the bottom takes another min before i can use it ,i have removed nearly all my apps and i have a screen shot of start up programs which is not many,also i have reinstalled windows and that has not helped
Have you run tests to ensure your hard drive and RAM are in good working order?
Have you inspected the various tabs in Task Manager?
Have you run malware and virus scans?
Does this occur when you have no Internet/cloud connection whatsoever?
Does this occur with anti-virus turned off?
Do you use any type of "backup" application?
seagate scan no prob with hdd windows mem test no problem no virus or maleware no different if internet/cloud on or off no difference with av on or off,i cant see anything wrong in task manager ,and as far as i know i havenot got a backup app
Check to see if Fast Start is disabled in your bios along with if it is set to either IDE or AHCI for the hard drive. Download and run Download Startup Inspector for Windows - MajorGeeks
You need to post screen shots of the processes and performance tabs of Task Manager if the slowness continues after you are actually in Windows.
If the slowness is ONLY when booting, that's another matter and you might need to run some type of boot trace. I can't help you with that.

Skip that with the tool. It needs the Borland Memory Management program. Run a diagnostic Startup in msconfig.exe if enabling Fast Boot in your bios still causes issues. Task Manager shows in the Startup tab last bios start time when you did a Cold Boot or Reboot.
