    Can I / should I delete H2W files?

A large files program plainly shows that the files taking up most space on my small storage device C drive are H2W files. There are a dozen of them each taking up 1 GB in the One Drive folder. From what I have read about them it seems that I should delete them to gain the much need free space space they occupy. Should I? What is the likely result, in particular given that they are on OneDrive?

An H2W file is a data file created by H2testw, a program used to scan USB drives and SD cards for read and write errors. It contains data generated by H2testw to test a USB drive or SD card. H2W files are created and placed on the drive being tested in order to test the drive's read + write functionality.

For some reason I could not delete the files, but found I could move them all to the SD card, drive D, which is fine (maybe I will be able to delete them from there later). Anyway, free space on C rose from 5 GB to just under 19 GB, a very good result. I am ready to try installing the May / July update tomorrow. In the past I have been able to install feature updates OK with about 10 GB free, and If it does want to install the 7 GB Reserve that will be OK too. A lot of time spent, but a lot learned too.

Format the SD card, that should get rid of them.

The D drive SD Card has most of my apps / programs / data on it (currently about 50% of its space) which would have to be moved first. It has been one of the main ways in which I have restrained the usage of C. I will bear it in mind for the future. Hopefully I wont have the problem discussed in another thread, with an SD card which cannot be formatted or have its files deleted..

Can you delete them from the SD card? If not, what is the exact error message you are getting?
