    Wndows Performance Recorder ?

I noticed something strange in what windows is now recording. This seems to of started right after 1903 18362.175. I have on 3 different system, several WPR files that reside in the Windows->Log subdirectory. Does anybody know anything about 1903 activating WPR or using the recorded data for what ever ?

I did search the web, but there were only a couple of older articles about WPR.

Inquiring minds would like to know.

It has not started with windows 10 1903 but even before. I don't know where exactly.
This is trace files generated by Windows to log events occuring during the update process for example. They are a sort of logs files. If you want to get them in a readable format, type this powershell command:
Get-WindowsUpdateLog, it will generate a text log file under C:\Windows\Logs\WindowsUpdate

OK - Well if its only for windows update, then why does it run every 3-4 hrs all day long ?

@Bree, yes I read about it coming out in 1803, but I have never had any before. Does it clean up after itself ? Why is it running every 3-4 hours ?

I agree, I looked at a bunch of OLD MR backups (1809), and It was running then, but still why is it running so often ?

Well it does look like it polices itself. Only keeps around 4 days worth of files around. I'll mark this closed.
