CHKDSK initiated every time I start Win7 on my dual boot PC

I don't go into Win7 very often since I ( well, you guys helped me a lot ) created a dual boot system with Win10, but when I do chkdsk starts to run on all my drives (x7 drives).

After that when I boot back to Win10 I get a disk repair scan and fix....What on earth is going on? and is Win7 ( on a seperate drive ) messing with the ssd with Win10 installed?

When windows starts up it writes a dirty bit to the disks when it shuts down it clears it if on boot it finds its set then it runs a disk check Manually Reset or Clear Dirty Bit in Windows without using CHKDSK • Raymond.CC

When I had the same problem [on a dual boot, mine was Win10-WinXP], I only fixed it by running ChkDsk with these switches
    Code:
    chkdsk C: /F /V /R /X
    Notes
    - I aways worry about ChkDsk messing up my own files so I do a full backup before running these intensive scans
    - My example shows C:\ being scanned.
    - I ran it for F:\ as well - that was the drive letter for the other OS drive as it appeared in this one
    - You can see the meaning of those switches by entering ChkDsk /? in a command window
    - Afterwards, I ran fsutil dirty query C: [ and then ... F:\] in an elevated command prompt to check that the drives were no longer dirty.
    - I did not note any timings but I seem to recall that these intensive ChkDsk scans took ages.
    - My notes are not clear on the matter but I think I did all this ChkDsk-ing in Windows 10 only. I did not have any problems when I later booted into the other OS but I think I re-ran the fsutil checks anyway.

If this fix did not achieve the required outcome I would restore my latest system images for both OS.

    Best of luck,
    Denis

I would try turning off hibernation on both Windows 7 and Window 10. Hibernation is required for Windows 10 fast startup, which is enabled by default. This tends to interfere with Windows 7 booting and returning back to Windows 10. The command (which needs administrator rights) is:
    powercfg -h off

Turning off hibernation saves disk space by removing the hiberfil.sys file and also helps prevent the two operating systems from interfering with each other.

Disable Fast Startup on your W10 system.
