    Performance slider regardless charning/discharging state...

    Hi there

is there any way of forcing Windows 10 1903 to keep the power slider under battery applet to stay on selected performance profile and NOT automatically changing it after plugging/unplugging Surface Pro into/from the wall?

For now Windows remembers the performance profile separately while battery powered and when plugged in. I would like to keep selected profile no matter if charging/discharging state...

    Any clues guys?

    Thank you.

That was a good question. I learned a few new things while researching this. I think that you will find that the following article has all the information that you need:

Thank you for your reply. I have been there but cannot really find how to disable remembering different slider position for battery/wall power. Any specific setting you are referring to on that site?

    Thaks again.

These are the things that I took away from the article:

    1) The slider is only available on the "Balanced" power plan or other plans derived from that plan so if you want to get rid of the slider altogether, simply create a power plan based upon one of the other plans and then modify that plan as you see fit.

    2) The setting for the slider is memorized independently for when the system is run on AC power or on battery. To make the settings the same, set the slider to the desired position in AC mode, and repeat in battery mode. The setting is now the same for both AC and DC power.

So, answering your question more directly: No, you cannot force the slider to stay the same for both AC and DC power from the UI. You need to set those seperately, or use a power plan that does not use the slider. However, it appears that you can alter this using the Windows Configuration Designer.
